Henry Cisneros, former federal Housing Secretary from 1993 to 1996, believes that Atlanta's housing market is being spared the worst of the national slump due in part to the city's comparatively lively economy.  Cisneros predicts that Atlanta’s housing industry will rebound quicker than other regions.

The future of Atlanta’s housing market is influenced by several factors, some of which include our hospital and health care facilities, local universities and the extremely popular and busy Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Cisneros oversees an investment company named City View that helped finance a new development of houses, condos, and townhomes in Sandy Springs.  One River Place, built near the Chattahoochee River, had its ceremonial grand opening recently.
