Earth Share of Georgia's Corporate Green Day Challenge 2008 is almost here!! Volunteer to mulch and care for trees in Old 4th Ward with Trees Atlanta on April 26th.

For 2008, Earth Share of Georgia would like to invite your company's employees to volunteer their time to make Atlanta cleaner and greener. Corporate Green Day Challenge is a simple way to support the environment!

You can download the camp registration form or sign up online at the UUCA website.  All camps are $100 and Monday - Friday 9am-1pm.  Children are to bring a healthy lunch from home.

Please note that MLPA's annual meeting will be held in Fellowship Hall at Morningside Presbyterian Church (1411 N. Morningside Dr.) on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. In addition to electing the MLPA board for 2008-9, we will hear from elected officials, Major Propes of the Atlanta Police Department and other community representatives. This is a great chance to hear about upcoming events and the issues facing our great neighborhood! Please mark your calendar and make sure to attend!

Looking to view some great art? Grady's "Spring Fling Week" is the answer!

Grady's Arts Department launches its annual cultural arts season starting this Sunday, April 20th with Lit on the Bricks! The Portfolio Art Show at Eyedrum Gallery will be on April 22^nd, and One-Acts written, performed and directed by Grady seniors in Grady's black box theatre will be on April 24th through 26th.

Admission ranges from FREE, $8 and $10 tickets depending on the event!

The Lamplighter Café is hosting its first Brunch and Braves event!!

The event will be this Sunday, April 20^th from 12 pm to 5 pm at the small independent cafe and wine bar located at the corner of Memorial Drive and Connally Street. The package includes breakfast, a mimosa, a ticket to the game and parking at the Lamplighter, all for only $22 plus taxes and gratuity.  Reservations are recommended!

·       Saturday, April 19^th at Lenny’s Bar. 9 pm. $5.  Features live music and art from tornado debris.

·       Sunday, April 20^th at DooGallery 4:20 pm- all ages (no alcohol), 21 and up after 9 pm. $10, free drinks after 9. Tornado Relief Art Show and Silent Auction.

·       Sunday, April 20^th at The Earl. 7 pm. $8.  The 1st Ever PRICK Magazine "Real" 4/20 Party and Tornado Benefit! Live music by The El Caminos, The Luchagors, The Hot Rods, Tattoo contests, $2000+ worth of tattoo gift certificates and more to be raffled off!

·       Thursday, May 22^nd at Smith’s Olde Bar. $10 donation. Featuring The Lord Is My Shotgun, Ponderosa, Part Bear, Death on Two Wheels and Missy Gossip and The Secret Keepers.
