Tours start at 11 a.m. at the Visitor Center near the 12th Street entrance and lasts 60-90 minutes. It covers all phases of the park’s development - forest, the Walker farm, fairgrounds for the Piedmont Exposition of 1887, the Cotton States and International Exposition of 1895, the transformation of the fairgrounds into a suburban park, and the current status of Piedmont Park as Atlanta’s premier urban park. The tour uses the voices of the past and pictures to bring history to life. Check out the website here and bring your shopping bags and head to the Green Market before or after your tour!
