One Can Never Know Too Much!
Hello neighbors!
Last week, I attended the sixth-annual Five Star Default Servicing Conference. It's amazing how much one can learn, even after 30 years in the business! For those of you who couldn't make it out to Fort Worth this year, here are some of the topics that interested me most :
"Setting Up an REO Shop" - Learning the steps necessary to getting your REO Real Estate Office up and running : covered everything from the logistics & legalities of launching an REO office, to insider's tips and tricks in organizational tactics and staff management.
"Let's Get Ethical" - Identifying and overcoming the challenges Real Estate professionals face in today's market : first-hand guidance from industry leaders about appropriate etiquette and protocol in an industry that's become crowded with cutthroat practices and deceptive schemes.
"REO Marketing 101" : An under-the-microscope look at essential REO sales tools, including an in-depth look at marketing properties, marketing oneself to clients, and branding expressly for REO.
"Speeding Up Short Sales" : Covers the key considerations and risks involved in negotiating preforeclosure sales, including how to help educate homeowners on the process so they can determine if it's the right option for them, the ways homeowners can become short sale candidates, what information to include in short-sale packages, and many more nitty gritty details, tips and tricks for this complicated procedure.
These are just a handful of the many sessions offered at last week's conference. If you've read everything up until this point and you still want to know more, then you really should have been there. Of course, there's always next year.
All the best,
Zac
